Like all other pieces of modern furniture unless they function well the aesthetic is meaningless unless it does actually function as named, for instance a wardrobe may well appear quite lovely and in the right place in the room but if you can’t find anything in it because it’s a mess of overloaded shelves and bowing hanging rails then it’s fair to say it’s not doing it’s job properly.
Couture’s designers and craftspeople are not magicians! We obviously can’t create more space than is actually available, but what we can do is organise space to maximise it. Pull down hanging rails, integrated drawers and integrated shoe rails are some of the standard devices that we apply to this effect, that’s after we’ve designed the cabinets to use as much of the space as possible, we’re not limited to any modular products, our cabinets and drawers are designed and made as one offs, there’s no wasted space and no odd sized filler panels, everything is perfectly made and fitted to make the most of the room and provide the best piece of modern furniture you can buy.
It’s not always a case of making a fitted piece of furniture, often a set of wardrobes will work best fully fitted, scribed tight to the walls
and keeping an even floor plan with one wall dedicated to storage. Sometimes it’s better to resist the urge to use all the space and instead design a large freestanding piece that allows doorways and other room features to sit along side comfortably, this can be a practical solution for rented properties or where the customer wants to be able to move and take the furniture with them, in this instance our designers consider a more versatile design that will allow for removal.
