This is one for those with really high ceilings. Built in the hallway of a loft apartment this multi use storage cabinet stands tall at around 3.5m. Included in the design is a ladder and a rail to attach it to giving access to the top level.
Also this week was the completion of the loft featured recently.
On this visit we fitted a beautiful fitted desk which organically hugs the curved partition which in cases the spiral staircase. The front edge of the desk curves as it comes away from the wall and organically flows into a shelf which runs along the wall above the pieces we previously fitted.
The desk top is finished in Forbo and is edged in solid oak which has been shaped to the profile of the desk.
We have also integrated lighting into the shelf above the desk and on the underside of the shelf / desk to illuminate the furniture below.
And to complete the room we fitted this wardrobe. It houses adjustable shelves to the right and hanging space to the left concealed behind two sliding doors. In the middle there are five push to open drawers finished in red which continues the theme in the room.
Delivered and assembled these two desks yesterday. We have completed a number of pieces in this house and it is always a pleasure to return. Hard to beat the view!
As for the desks, finished in satin grey to compliment the past commissions in the room. They also feature coloured leather work surfaces and a splash of purple on the undersides.
The L shaped desk includes eight soft close drawers finished in purple and the drawer fronts have integrated handles.
Also fitted this week. Practically incorporating ventilation for the radiator hidden behind this piece also provides ample adjustable storage across the base while giving open shelving above. It ties in beautifully in the room with the skirting running through and cornice that compliments the features in the room
